LUMICARDS was created on a mission to deliver the best educational information available to the general public. The greatest educational information exists on the web and in the minds of teachers, but they are not shared and used by the students and teachers effectively. Too much effective educational information sits idle. Thus, our mission is composed of two important principles: Delivering the best information to students, teachers and parents and Helping the parents assist their children on their educational endeavors.

LUMICARDS is a short abbreviation for 'Luminous Flashcards.' Flashcards have been a great study tool from elementary school to college students all over the world. We believe flashcards will continue to be a key part of future learning in a mobile environment. The size and flipping of cards fit perfectly into mobile devices. Our logo has two lights above the name 'Lumi' that represent teachers and parents who are the two pillars of great education.

LUMICARDS' current project teams are located in two locations; one in Scottsdale, Arizona (US) and the other in Seoul, Korea. The Scottsdale team is in-charge of contents and business developments, and the Korea team is in-charge of system development and technical management.

LUMICARDS' business development team is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, a northeastern part of the greater Phoenix metro area. Arizona was one of few states that adopted the charter school model in order to give parents more choices of education and to enhance education level. We see many changes in public education that we have not witnessed during the past several decades, and we are aware of the public's willingness to make the educational changes for better results. We believe Scottsdale and Arizona are the perfect places for us to start up our US education venture aiming to enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies of classroom teaching and parental involvements in student education.

Seoul is the center for everything in Korea including politics, economy and, most notably, education. Korea has been ranked among the highest in international assessment for student academic achievements. Despite some outcry over Korean students' excessive studies, we believe there are many aspects to learn including applications of technology in education and involvements of private sector education to complement public education. With one of the fastest high speed internet infrastructure and abundance of educational systems and technology, Korea is an ideal place to develop and manage our system.
